Luckily enough, all are not hard in skills , but need responsiblity. And the common sense is, if you don't tell people to do, they may just skip it. So the result could be, outside may look OK, but you don't know where the bugs from really.
2> Examine regularily
Targeting at pest control, these details are exactly what we need, not more, not less. You might see some pick up on unecessary things, but these are tricks- they will not be effective.
Examine is general tool to control quality and know performance of staffs.

Generally speaking, frequently changing rosters and shifts are easy excuses for shifting responsibility. Contrarily, more fixed tasks with less people involved provide more responsibility to individuals.
Increase or decrease contents of workload compare to the time, simply have a thousand versions, and all excuses can happen.
The problems are, we have seen so many use them to serve very bad interest or even weakness, but rarely for healthy purpose. And funny thing is, nowadays, sometimes there's time for people to fear more of risk when they are clean.
When I worked in a cafe, I just didn't understand why the boss busy buying bleach instead of using disinfectants. The difference is bleach make somethings looks cleaner, but disinfectant make something really cleaner. A smart boss should simply tell any staff to use that bottle, telling them that's bleach when it's factually disinfectant really, if necessary. And I believe that's very much the difference of cover and nature.
